Description
This intensive three-day course introduces new users to the basic functionality of TMS 2012. The focus is on cataloguing objects, inputting crucial information pertaining to the objects, tracking exhibition, loan, and shipping activities for objects in your collection (or for loan objects), linking media to records, navigating through modules, searching on records/data, and generating reports. This is a hands-on class; participants are provided with their own fully configured workstation to use during the class sessions.
Audience
This course is appropriate for all TMS users: registrars, curators, educators, archivists, support staff, and all who use TMS on a regular basis, as well as those who rely on TMS to access or input data, or report on collection information.
Prerequisites
This course assumes that the student has little or no familiarity with TMS; however, experienced TMS users who have never received formal TMS training and wish to expand their understanding of TMS or learn additional functionality will also benefit from this training.
