Description
This two-day, beginner/intermediate level course covers the core functionality of Crystal Reports XI and its use as a reporting tool in conjunction with TMS 2012. Students will learn to use the TMS data structure as a basis for designing custom reports for objects, exhibitions, loans, and constituents data.

Audience
This course is typically attended by those responsible for creating custom reports for TMS users. This can include advanced TMS users who wish to design their own custom reports.

Prerequisites
This course assumes that the student is already familiar with basic TMS functionality, either through daily use of TMS or by having completed the 3-day Core TMS training course.

Description
This intensive three-day course introduces new users to the basic functionality of TMS 2012. The focus is on cataloguing objects, inputting crucial information pertaining to the objects, tracking exhibition, loan, and shipping activities for objects in your collection (or for loan objects), linking media to records, navigating through modules, searching on records/data, and generating reports. This is a hands-on class; participants are provided with their own fully configured workstation to use during the class sessions.

Audience
This course is appropriate for all TMS users: registrars, curators, educators, archivists, support staff, and all who use TMS on a regular basis, as well as those who rely on TMS to access or input data, or report on collection information. .  

Prerequisites
This course assumes that the student has little or no familiarity with TMS; however, experienced TMS users who have never received formal TMS training and wish to expand their understanding of TMS or learn additional functionality will also benefit from this training. As well, this class includes all new features in TMS 2010 and TMS 2012, so if you have recently upgraded, you will benefit from attending this class.

EmbARK Beginning Reports

Description
Learn about the various reporting options in EmbARK and how to create basic reports of each type. The course covers proper use of fields and variables. It also covers basic scripting, including images, calculations and other fundamentals.

EmbARK Web Kiosk Training

Description
Learn how to configure an EmbARK datafile for use with Web Kiosk. The course covers installation of the application and how to approach customization. Understanding of basic HTML design is highly recommended.

EmbARK Fundamentals & System Administration Training

Description

This course addresses the fundamentals of EmbARK and covers system set up and configuration, conducting system back-ups, running EmbARK/4D Tools, troubleshooting and more. A good introduction to EmbARK for new users and an excellent refresher for those who want to acquire new skills.
