This interactive session is segmented in 4 sections:

  1. Lightning Round: We’ll warm you up with small tweaks you can make to improve your EmbARK efficiency
  2. Perfect your Form: We’ll explore configuration changes in Set Up
  3. Data Cardio: We will also look at making global changes via DB tools or Export/Import
  4. Stump the Experts: Have a question you’ve always wanted to ask? Now’s your chance!

Prerequisites: Basic familiarity with EmbARK.

Hands-on TMS Collections

Monday, November 15 | 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM EST
Instructor: Liz Eckman, Gallery Systems

This workshop will provide a hands-on exploration of the next generation of our flagship CMS: TMS Collections, with focus on tasks that users typically perform. Tasks will be viewed through the lens of differing users such as Registrars, Curators, and Collections Managers.

Following this course, you will be able to:

  • Catalogue objects in TMS Collections
  • Track Exhibition and Loan activities
  • Create simple and advanced queries to search the database
  • Report on and export data
  • And much more

Prerequisites: None. This course is targeted to TMS and EmbARK users with no TMS Collections experience.

Configuring eMuseum and Managing Data for the Web

Course Fee: USD 300
Tuesday, November 16 | 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM EST
Instructors: Alex Hoffman and Kevin Arista, Gallery Systems

In this workshop, you will learn how to manage eMuseum configuration options to control the appearance and behavior of your online collection.

We will cover how eMuseum exposes APIs, handles Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and manages Linked Open Data. You will also learn the basics of preparing your collection data for online publication to eMuseum.

Following the course, you will be able to:

  • Modify basic layout and styling
  • Configure published and searchable collection metadata
  • Understand use cases for the eMuseum API and Linked Open Data
  • Tailor your data and media to specific user roles
  • Design simple PDF reports
  • Understand the steps required to prepare your data for publication to the web

Prerequisites: Basic familiarity with TMS Collections or TMS. None for EmbARK users looking to transition to TMS Collections and eMuseum. No previous experience with eMuseum is necessary.
