The International Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (IIC), in collaboration with the International Network for the Conservation of Contemporary Art (INCCA), is hosting their biennial congress from September 12 to 16 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, California. Participants can attend paper presentations and tours that explore the conservation of contemporary culture.

  • The Lecture Program features four-and-a-half days of paper presentations investigating this year’s congress theme: Saving the Now: Crossing Boundaries to Conserve Contemporary Works.
  • Three receptions, including a Welcome Reception held at the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art (LA MOCA), and a Grand Event, Urban Light Night, at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), give you the chance to mingle with colleagues.
  • A variety of bus and walking tours let you explore cultural institutions and L.A. landmarks, including the Getty Conservation Institute, LACMA, The Broad, downtown architecture and murals, and an exclusive first look at the Marciano Art Museum which is not yet open to the public.
